What We Believe

About the Scriptures

  • We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God written by men moved by the Spirit of God.

About God

  • We believe in one God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe God is always good, and His creation reflects His goodness.
  • We believe God loves mankind and wants us to prosper in every area of life.

About Mankind

  • We believe mankind was created in God’s image, the crown jewel of His creation.
  • We believe mankind was ordained, by God’s will, to co-rule His creation with Him.
  • We believe mankind became alienated from God through rebellion and sinful disobedience.
  • We believe mankind is incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through his own effort alone.

About Salvation

  • We believe Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was sent by the Father to save mankind and restore us to our rightful place.
  • We believe the work of Jesus Christ in His death, burial and resurrection alone provides the sole basis for forgiveness of sin and a right relationship with God.
  • We believe God’s grace revealed in the work of Jesus Christ is for everyone but must be received individually through faith.
  • We believe that the forgiveness of sins is not the only benefit provided through Christ’s work. Physical healing, mental and emotional wholeness, and prosperity are available and must be received by faith.
  • We believe water baptism is for believers of God and is a sign of our commitment to Christ. Through baptism, we identify with His death, burial and resurrection.

About the Holy Spirit

  • We believe the Holy Spirit indwells the believer when we receive Jesus Christ as our savior.
  • We believe there is an experience called “The Baptism in the Holy Spirit” following conversion that is available to all believers. This experience is for supernatural power to know and demonstrate God in a greater way in the earth. This experience does not make someone better – only better equipped. It must be sought and received by faith.
  • We believe the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit are available and should be demonstrated in our daily lives.

About the Christian Life

  • We believe the moment we receive Jesus Christ as our savior we are born again and become a new creation.
  • We believe the Christian Life is a journey of discovery. While we are made new immediately, we must discover this new life on a daily basis. Change happens progressively as we hear God’s truth, receive it by faith and by the power of the Holy Spirit apply it to our lives.
  • We believe it is ultimately the purpose of every Christian life to glorify God by knowing Jesus Christ and making Him known.
  • We believe that every Christian is a minister and has been given spiritual gifts. These gifts should be used to serve others both in the church and in the world.
  • We believe the church is the body of Christ and Jesus Christ is the head. Every believer is a member.
  • We believe the Christian life was never meant to be lived alone.
  • We believe the mission of Christ cannot be fulfilled and that He cannot be known fully apart from relationships with other believers.
  • We believe in the local church, under God appointed leadership, believers unite to discover God and His purpose for their lives while fulfilling the Great Commission together.
  • We believe the church should be supported with the time, money, and energy of believers.
